AILU will host a Laser Manufacturing Hub at the Advanced Engineering 2017

At the forthcoming Advanced Engineering exhibition, 1-2 November 2017, the Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU) will be hosting a Laser Manufacturing Hub in the centre of the Performance Metals Zone at the NEC in Birmingham.  The Laser Manufacturing Hub will comprise 14 organisations within the supply chain of laser manufacturing.  From source manufacturers for high power fibre lasers through standard machinery suppliers and specialist laser integration experts, all the way to sub-contract service providers, the companies represented in the Laser Manufacturing Hub will be able to advise visitors on the suitability of their products and processes for laser manufacturing.  The zone will include samples of components which demonstrate the capabilities of laser manufacturing in a range of industries, materials and processes.  A lounge area in the centre of the Hub will allow visitors and exhibitors to discuss and network during the show in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

The Laser Manufacturing Hub sold out very quickly, but if companies using or promoting laser manufacturing are interested in exhibiting in a larger Laser Manufacturing Hub at Advanced Engineering 2018, they should contact AILU to register interest.  In 2018 the Hub will be significantly expanded to accommodate more organisations.

Alongside the Laser Manufacturing Hub, AILU will be presenting capabilities and citing case studies of laser manufacturing at the Open Conference in the Performance Metals Engineering Zone, to stimulate interest in laser manufacturing.

The Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU), based in the UK, was founded in 1995 and has over 250 members from 12 countries.  AILU has an office in Abingdon and an active membership which seeks to promote and encourage the use of lasers for a range of manufacturing applications.
