AILU workshop on Laser Cleaning
13th SEPTEMBER 2017
***REGISTER HERE***
Tony Jones (Cyan Tec Systems)
Laser cleaning opens up an innovative and effective method of non-contact cleaning which allows removal of dirt, rust, coatings or paints from a whole range of materials. Of interest to the automotive, aerospace, electronics and transportation sectors, this technology is starting to become of increasing interest owing to the availability of more powerful and more efficient fibre lasers which can achieve greater material removal rates than previously possible. Having much less environmental impact that shot blasting or chemical cleaning, the process has many advantages over the alternatives. This workshop is for anyone interested in applying the technology or improving the capabilities through directed research.
This full day workshop will include presentations by laser system manufacturers, automation integrators, end users and academics researching this application. Alongside the presentations will be networking opportunities and a small exhibition of suppliers. At the close of the workshop will be an opportunity to tour the new FANUC UK facility which opened in 2017, to see the machinery and robots that FANUC can supply.
