The European SMART award - support for electronics and photonics SMEs in Horizon2020 , meeting on afternoon Thursday 5 June at the Holiday Inn in Basingstoke will give a full briefing of this and other new more accessible SME support available from Europe. One of the key programs is very similar to the UK SMART award, can be applied for by a single company for innovative new product development from feasibility phase to full product demonstration development.

Single company submission possible

• Feasibility phase €50k
• Demonstration phase - 70% funding for projects up to €2.5million for development leading to market
• Commercialisation phase supporting market entry
• 6 months to grant
• Short form proposal -10pages
• Mentoring in all phases

And yes that really is prototype funding of over £1 million with only a 30% company match required.
